Strike Energy Limited has relished opportunities in the south of North Amercia to high margin opportunities in both Eastern and Western Australia.
In Texas, Strike Energy and its associates within the Eaglewood Partnership are actually utilizing an onging exploration drilling program on prospects which lie in the same development as the Rayburn and Mesquite producing fields. A lot of these prospects are similar in nature to the Rayburn and Mesquite developments being positioned in the prolific Wilcox Formation. A few of these prospects will have prospective resource potential in the order of 50 to 100 Bcf. Strike Energy possesses a 30% Working Interest in these prospects.
In February 2010 Strike Energy achieved its third discovery from a total of five exploration wells drilled to date (ie a 60% exploration success rate) with the Gardner Duncan 1 well. Final hydrocarbon volumes are still being assessed from this well, which is regarded as having the potential to double the company's oil and gas reserve base.

In Australia, the Company holds an extensive strategic ground position in the Southern Cooper Basin, for Coal Seam Gas and conventional prospects and in the Carnarvon Basin for shallow water oil and gas prospects.
Strike Energy retains a Working Interest in 10 wells in the usa onshore Gulf Coast area which provided 3.33 Bcf of gas and 82,000 barrels of oil condensate in the year 30 June 2009.
Output moves on this year through ten wells in Texas, with the prospective to boost this generation through success in the exploration drilling programs that have defined targets with 200 Bcf gas potential to Strike Energy. In Feb 2010 Strike Energy reached it's 3rd breakthrough from a total of five exploration wells drilled as of yet (ie a 60% exploration success rate) with the Gardner Duncan 1 well. Finalized hydrocarbon volumes are still being evaluated out of this well, which is thought of as having the potential to double the corporation's oil and gas reserve base.
